Privacy Policy
How Sydney Gyprock Masters collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated 20 August 2026
Sydney Gyprock Masters Pty Ltd respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices available to you. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information we collect
We collect personal information that you give us directly, which may include your name, telephone number, email address, suburb, the address of the property the work relates to, and details about the job you are enquiring about. We only ask for information we genuinely need in order to respond to you, price the work accurately, or carry it out.
Plans, drawings and photographs you send us
Because we price most work from floor plans or from a photograph rather than from a site visit, our quote form accepts file attachments. Anything you upload is used to understand and price the job you are asking about, and for nothing else.
Please be aware that architectural drawings and photographs of your home can carry more information than you intend, including the internal layout of the property, its address, and in some cases the names of other parties on a title block. We treat them as confidential, we do not publish them, and we do not use them as examples of our work or in any advertising without asking you first. If you would prefer to send only the part of a plan that is relevant, that is usually enough for us to quote.
Enquiry and quote forms
When you submit a quote request or enquiry through this website, the details you enter, along with any files you attach, are transmitted to us by email so that we can respond. This transmission is handled on our behalf by a third party form delivery service. That service processes the submission only for the purpose of delivering it to us and does not use your information for its own marketing.
We use the information in an enquiry to contact you about your request, to prepare a quote, to arrange a time to attend, and to keep a record of the work discussed. We do not add enquiry details to marketing lists.
Analytics and cookies
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information including the pages you view, the time and duration of your visit, the approximate geographic region derived from your IP address, the type of device and browser you are using, and the website or search engine that referred you.
We use this information only in aggregate, to see which pages and services are most useful to visitors and to improve the site. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine analytics data with the contact details you submit through a form.
We also record when a visitor clicks a telephone number or submits a quote request, so that we can measure how well the website is serving people who need our help. These records capture the action taken and the page it happened on, not the content of any conversation.
Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted by Google.
You can prevent analytics collection at any time. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings, and Google provides a browser add on that opts you out of Google Analytics across all websites. Blocking these cookies will not affect your ability to use this website, request a quote, or contact us.
How we use your information
We use the personal information we collect to respond to enquiries and provide quotes, to schedule and carry out plastering work, to contact you about a job in progress, to meet our legal, tax, warranty and insurance obligations, and to improve this website and the services we offer.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with the general public or with marketing databases. Your details are not used for surveys or polls.
We share information only where it is necessary. That may include anyone attending your job with us, our suppliers where materials are being delivered directly to the property, the service providers who operate this website and its analytics and form delivery functions, and professional advisers, insurers or authorities where we are required to share it by law.
Some of these providers, including Google, may store or process data on servers outside Australia.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This website is served over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, or ask us to delete it. Send your request by email to info@sydneygyprockmasters.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period. Please note that we may need to retain certain records, such as invoices, quotes and job histories, where we are required to do so for legal, tax, warranty or insurance reasons.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we have the opportunity to put it right. If you remain dissatisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or to legal requirements. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
