About Sydney Gyprock Masters
Plasterboard and gyprocking across Sydney, working out of Parramatta and covering the basin. We started out lining new homes and renovations and took on repair work later, which is why the service list runs from a whole house down to a single sheet in a hallway wall.
A local business, on the tools since day one
The business started in 2016 with one person, one Toyota van and a set of tools. Before that the owner was in construction working for a builder, plastering and rendering on their sites, which is where the trade came from. He was on the tools at the start and he is still on the tools now, running the jobs as well as working on them. It has stayed a small operation since, and that is a decision rather than a stage it has not grown out of yet.
It began with new homes and renovations and that is still the heart of it. On a new build every sheet is ours and every joint is set from scratch, so the finish can be stood behind from the first sheet to the last coat. Repair work came later because customers kept asking for it, and the difference is worth being straight about. A repair often cannot be fully scoped until the lining is opened up, because the damage runs further than it looked, or because somebody has covered up a poor job before us. That is why a repair is priced from photographs and a proper look rather than over the phone, and it is the honest reason the workmanship warranty here is written against installation work. The customers are home owners, landlords and agents looking after rental properties, and small commercial spaces.
A new build or a renovation starts with your plans. You get a price for the job, and once you accept it a start date is agreed and every material and accessory is ordered and brought with us. On the day the owner is on site working alongside the crew. Sheets go onto the ceilings and the wall studs, the base coat goes on straight away, then sanding and further coats. Cornices go on last of all. Everything is cleared and the offcuts go into the site bin before we leave.

You get the owner
The phone is answered by the person who will be doing the work, during working hours. Outside them it reaches a voicemail that gets returned.
Parramatta based
We work out of Parramatta and cover the Sydney basin, and there is no travel charge to any suburb we cover.
Fully insured
Public liability cover on every job, and a 12 month workmanship warranty on installation work.
We say when it is not us
Asbestos, waterproofing, passive fire sealing, ornamental cornice and painting are other trades. You hear that before the quote, not after the start.
The quote is the invoice
Every price goes in writing first, and it does not move unless you change what you asked for.
